DC is known for its unrelenting traffic, automated ticket cameras, aggressive parking enforcement and unpleasant DMVs, making car ownership a real drag. But unfortunately for cyclists, the city also experiences oppressive summer heat and has an unreasonable number of hills. This may seem like a no-win situation, but in fact it makes DC the perfect city for electric bikes. 

From svelte commuters, to fat tire cruisers, to fully laden cargo bikes, quiet, efficient, battery powered bicycles are taking over the DC streets.

Popular direct-to-consumer ebike brands like Radpower, Aventon, and Sur-Ron come boxed up with “some assembly required.” If you’re not comfortable building a bike yourself or don’t like the idea of the Fedex guy leaving a couple grand sitting on your front stoop, we can take delivery, assemble, prep and test any DTC ebike you care to purchase online.

I can also help with service, ergonomic setup, accessory installation, and rider safety training for a bike you already have.  

I also do conversions, meaning you may be able to bring me your existing bicycle or the frame of your choosing and let me swap out components to turn it into an electric bike.   

Finally, I build custom street legal and off-road electric motorcycles (no pedals, more power) using automotive grade lithium ion batteries.
